The UnifiedLA Joint Information Center has demobilized 2025 LA Marathon operations. The event, which included the participation of more than 21,000 runners, concluded with no major incidents or disruptions. Final remaining street closures near Century City will be reopened once roads are cleared by StreetsLA and LADOT.
Media seeking information should send inquiries to the public information office of the appropriate City department.

UPDATE #1
LOS ANGELES (March 16, 2025) - 6:00 a.m. PST
The Los Angeles Marathon is nearly underway. A Joint Information Center (JIC) has been established to oversee Emergency Public Information (EPI) for all Command Posts along the marathon route. In an effort to effectively manage accurate and timely EPI for the marathon, the JIC will provide timely Media Advisories, including regular status updates every two hours (approximately).
The @UnifedLA social media accounts along with the UnifiedLA@lacity.org email will be the official source of EPI for the Los Angeles Marathon. Media advisories will also be posted here. We encourage you to follow these sources for the most current information and to share your thoughts.
@UnifiedLA accounts will share photos/videos and discuss information such as:
Media Advisories, race day weather forecasts, race progress including percentage of participants finished, measures being taken by emergency responders and marathon staff to reduce risks, street closures and re-openings, transit closures, and safety concerns that may arise during race day.
